Kickers has unveiled its collaboration with London-based artist Hattie Stewart, reworking three classic Kickers styles in time for Spring/Summer ’21 and launching a one-off competition to win paid work experience with the Kickers team.
Hattie’s playful doodles have given new life to three of Kickers iconic silhouettes. The Kizziie Hi has been transformed using a monochrome squiggle graphic set against the Kickers trademark chunky sole. The Kizziie Higher features Hattie’s famous heart and flower sketches, and the Kizziie Derby includes a heart graphic fleurette and street-art inspired Kickers logo.
To celebrate the collaboration, Kickers has launched a competition which challenges aspiring artists to design their very own doodle. As a brand which is always looking to champion creatives shaping their industries, Kickers will offer the winner a two-week paid work experience, as well as a pair of Hattie Stewart shoes.
Talking about the collaboration, Hattie Stewart says: “Kickers is such an iconic brand that I’ve loved for many years, so I was honoured to work with them on this capsule collection, using some of the iconic motifs within my own work.”
Kickers Brand Director, Simon Breckon, says: “Collaborating with Hattie Stewart has been a long time coming for us. We’re constantly on the lookout for opportunities to highlight emerging creatives and we’re hoping this collaboration, alongside the competition, will serve as an inspiring opportunity for other artists out there.”
