Pentland Brands is the name behind some of the world’s best sports, outdoor and lifestyle brands. We own Speedo, Berghaus, Canterbury of New Zealand, Endura, ellesse, Red or Dead, KangaROOS and Mitre. We’re also the UK footwear and apparel licensee for Kickers.

Our products are available in over 190 countries and are sold either directly or by licensees and distributors.

Our brands are there in the moments that matter, from first steps to great achievements. In an ever-changing world, we want to be there for more people, in more of those moments. This has been our goal since the beginning and it drives everything we do.

By 2032, we will support 100 million consumers to live positive, active, sustainable lifestyles, improve the lives of 1 million people in our communities, and achieve net zero emissions across our business.

Pioneering brands

In 2023, Mitre Sports won ‘Best Brand Documentary’ award at the 2023 Brand Film Awards.

Berghaus achieved B Corp status in 2023, an incredible milestone moment in the British brand’s 50+ year positive business journey.

In 2022, ellesse won Best Social Strategy at the Campaign Media Awards for its #BeBold campaign in collaboration with Mediacom. The campaign also won Best Social Commerce campaign at the Performance Marketing Awards, and was awarded bronze for Best Direct to Consumer Marketing Campaign at the Festival of Media Global Awards.

Industry awards

Berghaus scooped two industry awards – an ISPO Award and a Polartec® Apex Award – for its high-performance Extrem range in 2022.
