Speedo Launches ‘H2O Active’ with top fitness influencers for aquaphysical workout

Speedo has teamed up with global fitness trend, aquaphysical, to celebrate the launch of H2O Active, a versatile and eco-friendly new workout collection for women to wear in and out of the water.

Using the tagline, “Designed to do more”, and inspiring the consumer to consider sustainability and the environment around her, the H2O Active swimwear range is made using chlorine-resistant POWERFLEX ECO fabric. This fabric includes 78% ECONYL® yarn – a nylon fibre made from regenerated plastics including abandoned fishing nets that might otherwise harm animals in the ocean.

Teaming up with aquaphysical demonstrated the full potential of the H2O Active collection through Floatfit®. This is a low-impact, cross-training workout on water, with classes which incorporate a mix of both water and land based exercises, using the aquabase® board.

To demonstrate the versatility of the new collection, four international fitness influencers have been charged with the task of broadcasting the H2O Active message to their loyal followers and social media fans. British TV and radio host, AJ Odudu; French health coach Lucile Woodward, and Italian fitness blogger and instructor, Denise Dellagiacoma, all put the H2O Active collection to the test during an aquaphysical Floatfit® class.

AJ Odudu, personal trainer and fitness blogger, said this about the H2O Active collection: “It’s super comfortable and looks amazing on! It’s the first work-out wear I’ve tried specifically designed for water and land exercise, such a good idea. Trying the aquaphysical class in the kit was so much fun and much harder than it looks. I fully recommend trying a class, fun and fitness is the perfect combination.”

As part of Speedo’s online launch of the H2O Active range, we have implemented interactive features on the range’s landing page, including a ‘Shop the Look’ section, and videos and biographies to introduce our ‘fitsters’ from the UK, France, and Italy. The new landing page also features a kit builder feature which scrolls through the H2O Active range, so our target consumer can show off her own individual style.

Bridging the gap between function and style, the H2O Active womenswear range is available now. To find out more visit our Inspiration blog.
