Pentland Brands take home In-House Design award for Best Internal Rebrand

Earlier this week Pentland Brands took home the award for ‘Best Internal Rebrand’, at the In-House Design Awards held in London.

Sponsored by Creative Review, the awards recognise in-house creative agencies for their creativity, originality, and collaboration success as well as business impact. The Awards are the only UK awards to celebrate in-house design teams, earning them the recognition they deserve within the design community.

In February, Pentland unveiled a completely new creative identity. The internal re-brand included the creation of a series of beautifully crafted creative assets; from a fresh colour palette and graphic identity, to a new manifesto and set of principles.

Gareth Davies, Pentland Creative Director said “Creating the new Pentland identity was a huge, collaborative project that needed to support Pentland’s evolving culture with its new manifesto, principles and tone of voice.

“We designed it to be future-facing and contemporary in the world of sports, fashion and outdoor, whilst representing the people behind our brands and the moments that matter to us all. By using crowd-sourced photography and graphic elements inspired by the work we do, we developed a unique identity that supports every communication from partner presentations to our new starter inductions.

“It’s fantastic to be recognised in the design industry for all the hard work the teams have put into it.”

We’re yet to share the new Pentland identity on our external channels but look forward to doing so with the launch of our new website in the coming months.

The Pentland Creative team were joined by members of the in-house Communications team and brand teams, to celebrate being shortlisted for six of the seven awards categories.

As well as a win in the category for Best In-House Rebrand, some of the Pentland portfolio of brands were shortlisted for awards in the following categories.

Best Example of External Collaboration – The ellesse global campaign.

What’s a Great Idea? – The ellesse global campaign and Canterbury Ireland with its ‘One Team. Powered Up’ campaign that launched in October.

Design for Good – Speedo x Econyl was a finalist for highlighting the positive results the environmentally focused film had on consumers.
