Mitre will be the first-ever official Match Ball Partner of the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) in a season-long partnership with the professional women’s league.

Mitre and Scottish football have partnered together since 1998 and this season Mitre begins a new chapter as the official match ball partner of both the men’s and women’s professional leagues.

The official Mitre Delta Max ball – specifically designed with a unique 14-panel configuration and embossed surface texture – uses Hyperseam ™ Technology, which delivers superb speed, pin-point accuracy, increased power and zero water uptake.

Fiona McIntyre, SWPL Managing Director, (pictured above), said: “I’m absolutely delighted that we’ll be working with Mitre, a brand synonymous with Scottish football.

“In advance of our inaugural season kicking off, this is another important milestone as we build a more professional league at this pivotal time for women’s football in Scotland.”

Simon Rowe, Head of Global Sports Marketing at Mitre, said: “Mitre has been involved with Scottish football for over two decades, so we’re thrilled to be announced as the SWPL official match ball partner.

“Women’s football is integral to our plans and we’re looking forward to being part of the exponential growth of the women’s game in Scotland.”

Fans will be able to see the Mitre Delta Max Football in action when the new league season starts on Sunday 7th August.
