Jodie Soussan has been appointed as the new Global Brand Director for the Canterbury and Mitre brands.
Jodie joined Pentland Brands, as Commercial Strategy Director, in 2018. Since then, she has led the teams responsible for commercial strategy & planning, market intelligence and commercial excellence in successfully delivering the go-to-market strategies and plans across the portfolio.
Prior to Pentland Brands, Jodie spent a number of years working within the FMCG sector for the likes of Procter & Gamble and Jordans Dorset & Ryvita (Associated British Foods). An experienced brand and category strategist, Jodie has previously worked across a wide range of commercial, digital, marketing and insights roles.
In her new role, Jodie will be responsible for defining and driving the delivery of consumer growth opportunities for Canterbury and Mitre; ensuring the brands’ strategies are founded on insights and delivered with excellence.
Chirag Patel, CEO, Pentland Brands, says, “Jodie has a wealth of commercial and brand building experience and she joins a great team. Canterbury and Mitre are respected brands within their categories and Jodie will lead them in creating irresistible products and compelling brand propositions that will deliver sustainable and profitable growth.”
On her appointment, Jodie says, “It’s a really energising time to be joining the Canterbury and Mitre team. Our collective goal will be to get our products to more consumers by focusing on getting more people, from all backgrounds, involved in rugby and football, especially at the grass roots level.”
Jodie replaces Charlotte Cox, who has been appointed to the Pentland Brands Executive team as President EMEA, responsible for the commercial teams across the region. Jodie will report to Penny Herriman, who is joining the Pentland Brands business as Chief Marketing Officer later this year.
