As Senior Materials (soft goods) Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the business’ programme of exploring, developing and scaling new-to-business or new-to-category (soft goods) materials innovations, so we can achieve our goals of creating the best products in our categories. Please note, this is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave.
About the role:
- Proactively manage a materials innovation strategy and pipeline that will support the wider business in meeting its strategic goals and sustainability targets, and mitigating business risks.
- Work closely with stakeholders in Global Materials to align strategies and enable transition of innovation materials into the global materials library.
- Foster and maintain an external network of partners (industry experts, academic institutions, consultants) to leverage external resources and expertise that will enhance the pipeline of materials for innovation and NPI projects.
About you:
- You will have knowledge and experience of working with stakeholders in Global Materials to align strategies and enable transition of innovation materials
- You will have experience improving product performance metrics from developing alternatives to improved sustainability, durability and strength
- You will have excellent coaching and communication skills
- You will be resilient and adaptable in navigating ambiguity.
