Content & Creative is Pentland Brands’ centre of excellence for development and production of best-in-class, creative content. We want to build a content factory that powers Pentland’s brands to be the most famous, the most relevant, the most desired and the easiest to purchase. We want to tell beautiful stories about our brilliant brands, stories that bridge between creative communications and creative selling. We need to be ‘chefs at the pass’ for the brands delivering consistency and coherence across all touchpoints. We will have digital baked into everything we do, we will always start with our consumers and then build ideas around their behaviour.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Art Director to join our content team. As a Senior Art Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity Pentland’s brands.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?

As our Senior Art Director, you will...

  • Tell beautiful stories about our brilliant brands.
  • Build a culture of great not good – drive obsessive curiosity and craft throughout the department. Then champion that throughout the wider organisation.
  • Develop campaigns with particular emphasis on digital, including websites, and social – from pre-brief, through strategic development and creative execution.
  • Coordinate and direct high profile global shoots, with the ability to manage and motivate teams to get the best out of shoot crews/talent.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director leading more junior members of your team, educating them on what good looks like and pushing them to elevate their work.
  • Bring consumers closer to our brands with elevated and well-crafted content.
  • Provide management, leadership, inspiration, guidance, support and direction for the team, critically evaluate the creative process and work to improve with the creative team.
  • Have an opportunity to work across our 7 brands - all different in size, positioning, team and output.

WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?

To stand out in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Hybrid skillset that covers art direction and design- motion is a plus.
  • A portfolio brimming with brilliant conceptual work delivered to the highest standards across a full suite of channels with proven commercial results.
  • Proven experience of developing campaigns with particular emphasis on digital, including websites, and social – from pre-brief, through strategic development and creative execution.
  • A wide breath of experience in the fields of sports, fashion and lifestyle global brands.
  • A brave and creative conceptual thinker who enjoys challenging their own thinking and approach to briefs.
  • Expert knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative (CS6): Photoshop InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Proven experience of leadership, collaboration and problem solving.
