WHAT’S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?
As Retail Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the charge in bringing Kickers and Mitre to life across our retail partners. Alongside managing the relationship with our key retail partners, you’ll own the creation and execution of retail marketing plans. You will ensure the brands show up brilliantly in-store and online during key moments such as: Back to School, Kick Hi 50th anniversary, Kickers x Mains collab, the FA Cup, and exclusive product launches. This role is pivotal in connecting our brand strategies with consumers through outstanding retail execution.
Please note, this is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. You will ideally be able to start in April/May 2025.
WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?
As our Retail Marketing Manager you will be responsible for:
- Owning the build and the execution of both brands Retail Marketing Plans, leading the deployment of all ‘go to market’ retail marketing projects. This will involve working closely with the wider brand team, commercial team, and our retail partners.
- You will build effective relationships with the marketing teams of key retail partners and both our internal and external agencies, to enable the brand to show up as best in class across key retail touch points. This will involve driving creative and commercial opportunities with those key retail account partners and creating retailer specific marketing plans, to grow visibility in retail, and ultimately drive sell-out.
- Responsible for the retail marketing budget, working with the commercial team to manage the effective deployment of this budget.
- Briefing agencies on key campaigns.
- In addition, you will be required to support the commercial team during customer meetings including sell-ins.
- You will manage retail projects from brief to execution. This will include effective project prioritisation and timeline development to ensure high quality, on-time delivery of retail marketing initiatives.
- Activate campaigns throughout the year that not only focus on any new launches/products, but also campaigns that promote the brand throughout key moments in the year.
You will be responsible for the creation of commercial tools such as product catalogues and management of the brands’ UK based showrooms. You will also be responsible for ensuring retail partners have all the necessary assets on time, and in full, including ecommerce imagery and Brand Campaign assets.
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?
You just might be our next superstar if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in the development and delivery of brand marketing strategy, retail marketing activation and managing retailers.
- Previous experience of both in-store and online retail marketing, ideally within the footwear, apparel or sports industry.
- Visual merchandising and proven retail activation experience is key.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional internal teams and external agencies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, and the confidence to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders of varying seniority.
- A strategic mindset, capable of translating the brand vision into actionable retail strategies.
- The ability to work reactively, as well as proactively. Planning is an essential part of the role, however the ability to react and adapt to the ever-changing market is also key.
- A willingness to travel. Whilst you will be based in London, there will be a requirement to travel across the UK as and when needed.
