As the Product Testing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the coordination and running of our apparel and hardgoods product testing for multiple Pentland brands. You will support/develop innovative end-user test scenarios that highlight product benefits, identifying performance challenges through wearer trials. You will also be responsible for the in-house textile testing lab, and all associated physical testing.

 

About the role:

 

  • Coordinate all testing activities, multiple brands, multiple categories
  • Develop and implement a robust and consistent testing process
  • Build wearer trial contacts both externally and internal staff
  • Research new test methodology, standards and systems
  • Liaise with external testing organisations and universities
  • Provide physical testing services in our in-house textile lab.
  • Maintain wearer trial feedback and test report trackers
  • Contribute to product quality risk assessments and route cause investigations
  • Maintain brand performance standards

About you:

 

  • Experience in coordinating product and prototype testing in the apparel, footwear, or equipment industries.
  • Degree in sport engineering, sports science or textiles desirable
  • Passion to develop and implement robust testing processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting or overseeing physical testing of materials and components, especially in a textile or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Materials, and External Testing Organisations.
  • Ability to provide input into product quality risk assessments and supporting the investigation of quality issues.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint - Tracking and feedback systems to manage test results and ensure timely communication with relevant teams.
  • Some experience working in industries related to Pentland Brands' portfolio is desirable.
  • Experience in sport and exercise science, performance apparel and equipment development, or biomechanics beneficial
