WHAT’S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?
We are seeking an experienced Cash Allocations Professional to join our Global Accounts Payable team. As our Cash, Bank & Accounts Payable Assistant you will play a vital role in the accounts receivable process and through effective communication, accounting and reconciliation you will maintain proper cash flow to facilitate the collections process effectively.
WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?
As our Cash, Bank & Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- The daily upload of banking transactions from statements
- Identifying inward cash for the Credit Control team and ensuring appropriate allocation
- Assigning out going payments and transfers with support from Accounts Payable and Treasury
- Processing customer credit card platform payments
- Posting cash for our retail stores
- Administering weekly treasury sweeps across accounts
- Assist with the collation of data for reporting to the business (KPI Reports)
- Resolve queries from internal customers within the Brands & Financial Shared Services teams
- Reporting all unallocated cash items, with notations of next steps to solve
- Coordinating review and resolution of outstanding bank items with key stakeholders
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts, ensuring all out of balances are identified and resolved in a timely manner
- Identifying monthly settlement of agreed Intercompany balances
- Administration of Worldpay platform - Odiere
- Ad-hoc absence cover for Accounts Payable
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?
You just might be our next superstar if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience of reconciliations, including balance sheet and control accounts.
- Experience using accounting platforms such as SAP, Oracle or similar and exposure to Credit Card platforms
- High level of attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proactive and able to prioritise tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and relationship building skills. You will be able to create connections across departments and brands to foster a culture of best practice
- Intermediate/ Advanced Excel skills
- Having or working towards a recognised accounting qualification would be desirable
