ellesse has revealed a new partnership with sportswear retailer Footlocker, launched during fashion week.
The collaboration has yielded an exclusive collection named ‘Me By Me’ for women. Embracing female identity in all its forms, the collection celebrates female empowerment. Each piece of footwear is branded with the statement ‘Me By Me’ in three languages and encourages women to express their uniqueness through their style.
To celebrate the collaboration, ellesse hosted a two-day pop-up in the heart of the fashion week locations in London and Milan, in partnership with influencers and featuring Radio 1Xtra DJ Snoochie Shy.
The week also shone a light on ellesse’s SS20 range. The heritage sportswear brand spent the week elevating its fashion credentials through the ‘curators’ platform’ – by seeding footwear to the streetstyle photographers, make-up artists and hairdressers that shape fashion week.
The shoe spotted was the Indus; ellesse’s fashion forward trainer for SS20 which was featured in New York and Paris. The trainer was pictured on the front row of major fashion shows having been worn by curators such as Leomie Anderson in London and Michelle Li in New York. The brand combined this with a partnership with official fashion week sponsors Toni&Guy, bringing the Indus backstage on the feet of all fashion week hairdressers.
Street style photography of the range has been covered by Vogue Australia, Vogue Netherlands and Vogue Italia. Following further outreach for Indus, ellesse secured coverage on BBC 1 The Greatest Dancer show on Saturday night with artist Ella Eyre’s dancers dressed in Indus, the show had prime time airing with an average of 5.5 million viewers.
