Canterbury has announced that England Rugby Captain and Northampton Saints hooker, Dylan Hartley, has become its latest ambassador.
As part of the three year agreement, Hartley will endorse the brand’s comprehensive range of training wear and rugby lifestyle clothing.
The announcement comes at an exciting time in the rugby calendar, on the eve of an RBS 6 Nations that will see Hartley lead England out as captain for the first time under new Head Coach Eddie Jones.
With a total of 66 England caps since making his debut in 2008, the Northampton Saints hooker made history in 2009, when he became the youngest ever captain in the history of the Aviva Premiership.
Dylan Hartley, England Captain and Northampton Saints Hooker, said; “I’m extremely excited to be an ambassador for a brand so committed to the game of rugby, and steeped in heritage.”
Canterbury’s CEO, Chris Stephenson, said; “We are delighted to announce that Dylan Hartley has joined the Canterbury brand ambassador stable. Dylan’s career to date has been fantastic. We are looking forward to working with Dylan, whose roots also stem from New Zealand and wish him every success in the upcoming RBS 6 Nations”
The new deal reinforces Canterbury’s commitment to the game and sees Dylan Hartley join Kevin Sinfield, Geoff Parling, Sam Burgess and former England star, Will Greenwood as Canterbury ambassadors.
