A decade of transforming young lives with The Prince’s Trust

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Pentland’s support of The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme, which provides young entrepreneurs with the learning, mentoring and funding opportunities to start their own businesses.

Since 2010, Pentland Brands is proud to have supported 380 aspiring entrepreneurs through its programme, which includes specialist workshops and ongoing support for people, aged 18 to 30.

The programme is a valuable starting point for those looking to develop their ideas or discover alternative career pathways and the success rate is impressive.

  • 89% of young people on The Prince’s Trust’s Enterprise programme have succeeded in moving into a positive outcome, be that starting their own business, securing alternative employment, re-engaging with education, or securing additional training or volunteering opportunities.
  • 73% of the young entrepreneurs who receive start-up support from The Trust, are still running their businesses three years later, compared to the national average of 61%
  • The social return on investment is £4.31 for every £1 invested.

With the UK facing unprecedented times and young people subsequently facing greater barriers to success in their lives than they ever have, the generosity of kind supporters is even more valuable, important and transformational than before.
