Speedo has launched it’s brand new website, speedo.com.cn, for the Chinese market, representing a new form of brand content and e-commerce integration for Speedo.
The preparation for this strategic launch day spanned across 18 months, involving many Speedo teams from Nottingham, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, as well as teams from Pentland Brands in both London and Hong Kong.
China stands to be a great opportunity for Speedo’s market growth between now and 2020, as the country’s swim market and swim participation are growing rapidly.
The website is the first of its kind for both Speedo and Pentland Brands, as the website features a new approach to an e-commerce infrastructure, blending brand content, social media features and e-commerce functionality, making it the first Speedo brand commerce site worldwide.
The logistics, customer service, IT, and e-commerce teams have all worked hard together over the last year and a half for the website, which is designed to display seemlessly across mobile, tablet and desktop.
