Creative Team (Art Director + Copywriter)

Content & Creative is Pentland Brands’ centre of excellence for development and production of best-in-class, creative content. We want to build a content factory that powers Pentland’s brands to be the most famous, the most relevant, the most desired and the easiest to purchase. We want to tell beautiful stories about our brilliant brands, stories that bridge between creative communications and creative selling. We need to be ‘chefs at the pass’ for the brands delivering consistency and coherence across all touchpoints. We will have digital baked into everything we do, we will always start with our consumers and then build ideas around their behaviour.

We’re ambitious – we don’t just want to be a content factory; we want to be the best content factory delivering brilliant work at speed and at scale.

We want people with a passion for great work, who are obsessed with craft and want to learn how to build brilliant brands – from the inside out.

We are seeking a talented Creative Team to join our department. You’ll be one-part experienced copywriter and one-part passionate Art Director ready for a new challenge. You’ll both play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of Pentland’s brands.

What you’ll do

  • Tell beautiful stories about our brilliant brands.
  • Pitch your ideas clearly and concisely and build brilliant creative decks.
  • Execute and elevate the brands vision for campaigns, socials and any other visual content.
  • Help build a culture of great not good – drive obsessive curiosity and craft throughout the department. Then champion that throughout the wider organisation.
  • Develop campaigns with particular emphasis on digital, including websites, and social – from pre-brief, through strategic development and creative execution.
  • Constantly generating ideas-  from big idea for a comms campaign, production propositions to social reactive posts.
  • Progress projects and push through the creative shoot concepts from initial idea, mood board phase, shoot planning all the way to completion.
  • Provide guidance, inspiration and direction to the more junior members of the team, critically evaluate the creative process and work to improve with the team.
  • Have an opportunity to work across our 7 brands - all different in size, positioning, team and output.

What you’ll bring

  •  
  • Be strategic thinkers who can translate strategy into ideas and stories.
  • You’ll both be experts in making work that lives across all the channels in our consumers lives – whether that is social or selling
  • Proven experience of developing campaigns and social content with particular emphasis on digital - from pre-brief, through strategic development and creative execution.
  • Experience creating conceptual campaigns for brands in sports, fashion and lifestyle
  • Have a portfolio demonstrating big ideas that can be used across various platforms
  • Consistent brilliant execution across all media and campaigns
  • Be brave and creative conceptual thinkers who enjoys challenging their own thinking and approach to briefs 
  • An ability to take ownership of briefs and where necessary to interpret and re-shape them
  • Proven ability to decipher complex communications and objectives into intelligent solutions. Find the story that needs telling.

Please note Pentland HQ is currently in Finchley, north London. We will be relocating to Farringdon, central London in June 2024.
