WHAT’S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?

You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing Canterbury’s Social Media Strategy, acting as the voice and guardian of the brand in the social space. You’ll mix creating innovative brand messaging and activations that engage consumers, influencers, brand ambassadors, Rugby Unions and teams across social media platforms, with meticulous planning and project management. Serving as the team social media strategist, content generator and channel expert whose goal is to communicate our brand positioning, boost engagement and increase reach to drive overall acquisition.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?

As our Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Define and implement social media strategy for Canterbury in UK & Ireland
  • Manage creation, scheduling and publishing to ensure a balance of messaging across Canterbury’s Communications Pillars, and cover reporting of results on a monthly basis
  • Establish guidelines and unique approaches to each platform that consider the wider brand objectives across products and routes to market (DTC, marketplaces, Teamwear)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and Rugby Unions for inclusion in our social channels
  • Proactively look for innovative ways to develop social media content, step change our social media presence

WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?

You just might be our next superstar if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience running social media accounts
  • Experience creating content (photoshop & video capture and editing)
  • Good eye for what good looks like and how to make content look good
  • Be a creative thinker that tries to push boundaries and think differently
