Roles & responsibilities
+ Understand and interpret the overall active / apparel industry market intelligence, including supply chain and sourcing trends, imperatives, forward-thinking initiatives and all these implications thereof, so as to establish the sourcing future state principles in minimum 3-year time horizon.
+ Analyse the active / apparel industry sourcing landscape, geography and capability, and its shift, with knowledge leverage of global and local economic and international trade shift, so to identify commercially feasible and beneficial sourcing direction of travel.
+ Respond to the Brand and Product plan to develop the global vendor solution correspondingly, and lead cross functional departments to execute and deliver the identified sourcing objectives for each brand and the overall sourcing function, that commercially meet current and future needs.
+ Lead, develop and implement sourcing selection process framework, and engage the potential vendor and the network thereof to build up the corresponding and viable business case for sourcing opportunities which are able to realize and capitalize in tangible benefits (cost, quality, speed, innovation) and sustain the appropriate vendor mix and performance management.
+ Own the commercial relationship for the new sourcing opportunities and the project implementation and management, and govern the targeted high and sustainable performance so to steadily transfer to the merchandising operations.
What you need to have:
+ University Degree.
+ Proven track record in sourcing strategy, business case and its implementation in active / apparel industry.
+ Diversified knowledge in sourcing (multiple tiers) for areas beyond Asia, such as Africa, America, Europe.
+ Strong grasp of supply chain and sourcing market intelligence in global scale.
+ Commercially and financially astute for business case proposal.
+ Work experience in global scale company, preferable brand management related, with strong cultural sensitivity and awareness.
+ Work experience in matrix organization environment, and be able to work with internal cross functional teams and external vendors.
+ 50%+ travelling required for sourcing opportunity exploration.
+ Thorough understanding of typical merchandising operations.
