A fundamental role at the heart of the Data & Technology function working on Pentlands growing global B2B platforms.

The role you’d play:

  • Providing full stack development knowledge to Pentlands B2B team with a focus on taking a lead in front end requirements
  • Working closely with designers to translate mockup up designs from Figma & wireframes into front end code.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders- designers, product managers and backend developers to understand requirements & priorities with the ability to also explain solutions to non-technical teams.
  • Be an excellent team player who will work closely with a wider development team to work through the product backlog & discuss progress in daily stand ups.
  • Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code for a growing global platform that is fit for purpose across multiple regions and customer sets. 
  • Developing and maintaining web applications that are optimized for various devices and browsers & for maximum speed & scalability.
  • Be a key contributor to business projects & work in a fast-paced environment, able to adapt to changing priorities and business requirements.
  • Testing web applications to ensure they are bug-free and work seamlessly for the end-users.

Needs to have.

  • Proven 6-8 years of experience as a Front-end/full stack developer.
  • Comfortable working with both front- and back-end languages
  • Working knowledge of multiple back-end languages (like Java or Python) and JavaScript frameworks (like Angular, React, and Vue).
  • Proven knowledge working on performance optimization and improvements.
  • Experience working on SAP Commerce Cloud would be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in handling deployments and guiding the junior member of the team to their success.
  • Working Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (like HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
  • Familiar with databases (like MySQL and Oracle), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design
  • Working knowledge of Jira advantageous
  • Have keen awareness of user pain points & customer experience.
  • Curious about new technologies and excited to find ways to implement them in your work.
  • A keen eye for design, attention to detail, and a great sense of aesthetics
  • Good communication and excellent team player, confident dealing with colleagues at all levels & disciplines including designers, product managers & back-end developers.
  • Effective time management, organization and prioritization skills & self-motivated to meet deadlines.
  • Strong investigation & problem-solving skills
  • Focused on delivering a great experience and resolving incidents quickly.
  • Strong IT skills and able to multi-task and navigate across multiple complex systems.
