At Pentland Brands, we are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Regional Account Manager (RAM) to join our team. This role is all about taking our iconic Kickers brand to the next level within the UK footwear regional account portfolio. As a RAM, you will be instrumental in supporting our strategic goals, ensuring that our customer plans are not just met but exceeded.

The role you would play

  • Accountability for the sales, profit, brand presence and KPI’s of Kickers within a defined number of UK footwear regional accounts.
  • Design, deliver and execute aligned customer joint business plans with key customers that deliver against the financial, go to market / brand presence and efficiency targets.
  • Manage the sell-in process including a focus on thorough planning and understanding of customer needs, achieving clear goals and delivering key brand propositions.
  • Work closely with the Shopper Marketing Manager to build and execute an annual marketing calendar aligned to financial budget allocations; ensuring our brands win at the point of purchase.
  • Deliver a high standard of order-book management, working closely with your customer support to deliver first class service levels throughout the business.
  • Work closely with Group Credit function to understand, mitigate and proactively avoid credit issues that may hinder shipment at best or lead to bad debt at worst.
  • Utilise data and insights to scope, recommend and execute plans/ opportunities/ mitigate risk and drive efficiency opportunities within assigned customers across Pentland brands for all areas of the business from shopper marketing to operations.

The must haves

  • Proven track record of managing and delivering results in Regional Account Manager role or similar
  • Experience of negotiation
  • Strong Influencing skills – ability to influence internally and externally
  • Commercial acumen - Understanding of broader business financial principles and how to manage profitability to achieve financial gains
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to utilise market / industry / competitor insight to challenge and influence our category / channel / regional strategies and execute consumer focused propositions with customers
  • Prepared to travel within the UK/Ireland as required by the role
