As Senior Designer of Future Concepts for Hardgoods you will be a visionary leader, responsible for driving the exploration and development of groundbreaking design concepts that will shape the future of our brands. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will lead the charge in anticipating consumer trends, identifying emerging technologies, and envisioning innovative products that resonate with our target audience and push the boundaries of design excellence. With a focus on sustainability, performance, and consumer-centric innovation, you will help us stay ahead of the curve and deliver products that inspire and delight consumers worldwide.

About the role:

  • Strategic Vision: Lead the development of a long-term design vision and strategy for future concepts, aligning with brand values, market trends, and consumer insights to drive business growth and differentiation.
  • Creative Direction: Empower and inspire design teams to push the boundaries of design innovation and craftsmanship.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay informed about cultural, fashion, and market trends, conducting research and trend forecasting to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in product design and development.
  • Technology Exploration: Investigate new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to revolutionise product design and integrate them into future concepts.
  • Prototype Development: Oversee prototype creation using rapid prototyping techniques and digital tools to refine designs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with brand teams, product developers, marketing, and external agencies to ensure project alignment and foster creativity and excellence.
  • Presentation and Communication: Communicate design concepts and value propositions through presentations, mood boards, sketches, and 3D renderings to engage stakeholders and build consensus.


About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in design leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving innovation and creativity in product design and development with a focus on hardgoods.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, trends, and technologies relevant to future facing product creation, with a passion for pushing the boundaries of design to create meaningful and impactful products.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve shared goals.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of aesthetics, and a passion for sustainability and ethical design practices.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CLO3d, Rhino, or similar, with the ability to create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and digital renderings.
  • Degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.
