A strategic and creative HR operations leader with a mindset of customer-centricity and restless performance improvement who can lead the continued transformation of HR services at Pentland Brands. The ideal candidate will be able to operate strategically and at a tactical, operational level as we continue to streamline, automate and standardise HR services. 

 

This role will be an important part of the global HR leadership team who are focused on delivering an ambitious, pioneering culture change agenda for Pentland in partnership with business leaders.

 

This is a global role leading HR Services and HR Information Systems across the EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Americas regions. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and resilient in the face of challenges.

 

The role you’d play as Head of Global HR Operations:

 

  • Lead the HR Operations team to deliver a high-performing operational HR function.
  • Collaborate with central HR teams and the business to provide agile HR solutions.
  • Lead, motivate, develop and engage team members to deliver great employee experiences covering the end-to-end lifecycle of employees.
  • Drive continuous improvement, using technology and automation to drive efficiency and simplify the way we work within a global context.
  • Facilitate a mind-set of continuous improvement to encourage risks to be raised, improvements to made and new ways of working to be established quickly
  • Lead on ways to leverage the HRIS and evolve online/offline processes creating global alignment
  • Deliver projects and initiatives, in partnership with other HR specialists, ensures programmes and initiatives have proper plans, structure, process and procedure governing their implementation
  • Create the capability and capacity within the team to handle first line enquiries, advice and support to managers and employee
  • To be people focussed and service-orientated, to create a great employee experience

 

What you’d bring as Head of Global HR Operations

 

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong Project Management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of various HR Operating models, HR systems, HR policies and processes, Employment Law and HR service provision. 
  • Experience of working in a broad HR generalist position and be confident providing advice on policy
  • Experience of working within an HR shared services / HR operations function.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience in a complex matrix organisation.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem solving and a track record of continuous improvement.
  • Clear understanding of service delivery and using metrics to manage performance to ensure a high-quality service.
  • Can-do attitude, able to adapt to focus on multiple priorities to provide a great people experience
  • Personal integrity and a commitment to ethical practice, equality, and diversity.
  • Strong people and team leadership, experience of running an operations team internationally, particularly in the U.K and in an offshore hub
  • Leads with empathy, clarity on what's important and care.

  • A strategic HR Ops leader who can bring deep expertise in different operating models. Able to be agile, pragmatic, and flexible in how HR is set up and serves the business.
  • Experience of creating value to the business through data insights.
  • Resilient with the challenges of working in a business with growth plans.
  • Able to contribute to the strategic agenda of HR broadly / experience of being part of a senior HR leadership team.
  • Not afraid to challenge, ensuring the right decisions are made for our people and our business.
  • Up to date with external trends: can think about disruptive forces on the horizon and how HR needs to respond.
  • Customer-centric: a “service first” mindset to the internal business and can instil that through lean processes and in their team’s behaviour and ways of working.
  • A passion for HR and employee relations
