As Critical Path Manager for Berghaus you play a key role, creating, owning, updating and planning out the overall Berghaus critical path across all processes, systems, and people right through from concept creation, launch and sell-in to successful on-time retail activation in-store.



You will build strong relationships with the Head of Product Merchandising, Brand Directors, Commercial / Design, Development, Materials and Global supply planning teams ensure clear accountability, ownership and delivery of all elements of each critical path.



The role you’d play:



  • Design bespoke critical paths feeding into the overall workplan.
  • Deliver agile projects against multiple timelines, optimising speed to market across our different processes.
  • Own and chair regular cross-functional meetings.
  • Ensure all paths and projects are managed in a consistent and visible way.
  • Work closely with commercial team to understand, champion and align our business to the specific critical path requirements of our key retail partners.
  • Facilitate workshops, forums, and meetings against key stage gates, closely managing critical path implementation and ensuring we see effective contribution from all functional stakeholders, with a strong focus on customer & consumer inputs. 
  • Use the Pentland project tools and methodologies in the most appropriate way, bring new ways of working to the business that reflect an agile approach to implementation. 
  • Ensure the critical path and key inputs are aligned to business calendars, directional and market plan timings, ensuring link ups where appropriate.
  • Recognise and support cross-functional teams in both highlighting and mitigating dependencies and risks.
  • Support teams with the implementation of the new processes within the critical path.
  • Support the definition and tracking of key critical path KPIs and deliverables, own the measurement and reporting of these metrics, capturing lessons learned to drive continual improvement of the approach to critical path management, adapting new ways of working as required.



What you’d bring:




  • Previous experience in critical path / project management across process, people, and platforms.
  • A strong understanding of the product creation process in the Apparel / Footwear industry.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to question, challenge and drive change where you see opportunities to improve and share best practice in our ways of working.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management – both senior stakeholders and a complex multifunctional matrix team, you’ll bring an understanding of working in a matrix organisation.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders, with a strong attention to detail when delivering critical path tools to our matrix teams.
  • Excellent communication skills – both presentation and written.
  • Highly collaborative, with the tenacity, resilience, and drive to own and deliver to deadlines.
  • The ability to influence others, driving accountability and delivering against plans and timelines you own.
  • Track record of successful delivery of complex critical paths and projects.
