You are the global social media expert for Speedo, the world’s leading swimwear brand. You define our global social strategy and channel strategy alongside the brand teams, and help make sure we are staying true to our purpose of Making Waves and that we are moving swim culture forwards.


You are an enthusiast who will define and deliver the social media calendar, guidelines, and content, ensuring we have the right content at the right time, that celebrates swimming from elite to every body. You will do this directly on our global channels and then inspire and support our regional teams with guidelines and seasonal toolkits as we enter an exciting new era for the brand.


You will deliver on social KPIs with the objective to grow and engage with Speedo's online community, and to bring to life the brand globally.



The role you’d play as Content & Community Manager

  • Develop the global Social Strategy with support of the competitive and non-competitive brand teams.
  • Activate social media content across international channels (8 channels in total)​
  • Responsible for the delivery of social media guidelines and advice for partners, athletes, events, and influencers ​
  • Lead the brand communication plan for activation on social media, including the creation and activation of a planned social calendar​
  • Build relationships with Key markets to seek alignment with platform and content strategy. (This activity elevated during the Olympic Games period.)​
  • Liaise with our PR agency on events, social activations and influencer strategy ​
  • Identify and lead opportunities to grow Speedo's presence online, identifying new platforms and content types – to drive community growth and brand engagement.



What you’d bring as Content & Community Manager


  • Previous experience managing social media channels globally
  • Proficient with social media management and analytics tools
  • A creative and strategic thinker, with energy to try new things and engage our communities.
  • Great at creating connections
  • Good copywriting skills
  • Interest in swimming and sports a bonus.

About Speedo


Founded in Bondi, Australia in 1928, Speedo was born to make waves.


Within a year we set our first world record in the world's first non-woollen suit… and so our winning streak began.


Speedo were the first to bare arms… and ankles, and knees. Placing performance above modesty, our designers stripped away inches of cloth in pursuit of speed and defied convention. In 1932, aged just 16, Clare Dennis won Olympic Gold at the Los Angeles Games only to have her medal challenged for ‘indecency’ after showing too much shoulder-blade in her Speedo Racerback suit. Today, Speedo is the world’s #1 swimwear brand, worth c. $1.3bn at retail and sold in over 170 markets – we are never content to sit on our hands.
