We’re seeking a passionate Building Maintenance Executive to join our Workplace and Facilities management function at Pentland Group on a permanent basis in London.
As Building Maintenance Executive, you will be a key member of the Group's head office Facilities team in Manchester Square. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operational execution of general building and maintenance tasks, both hard and soft services. The services are delivered via both self-delivery and third-party contracts, and you help support the Facilities Manager successful deliver these services in a
professional and reliable manner.
This role is primarily a five-day onsite position to cover our West End office, working in a small team covering a shift pattern Rota working closely with colleagues across Workplace including supply chain partners, plus the wider Pentland Brands to manage key stakeholder relationships. You will need to be ‘on call’ out of hours, primarily to arrange cover.
The role you’d play:
General Facilities Management
- Minor repairs, maintenance and decoration such as changing light bulbs Internal and external painting
- General, basic maintenance, simple carpentry and plumbing
- Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers
- Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on call assistance
- To be responsible for reactive work orders logged on CAFM from inception to completion, providing good customer services, ensuring each job is managed with its assigned priority and service level agreement
Health and Safety
- Co-ordinate fire marshal and first aid requirements, training, and monitoring needs
- Support with weekly Fire Alarm Testing
- Work with Facilities Manager and Health and Safety Manager to ensure health and safety processes are adhered to when dealing with incidents, accidents or near misses
Contractor Safety Manager
- Maintain the safety management system for contractors, including induction processes and permits to work
- Ensure that reviews of all third-party Safe Systems of Work are undertaken
- Ensure all contractors have the appropriate accreditations, insurances, risk assessment and method statements and safe systems of work
Management of Statutory compliance
- Building safety compliance including regular checks for lighting, fire equipment, fire door, water hygiene and conducting risk assessment
- Monthly water temperature testing (legionella control)
- Monthly site Audits
- Life Safety Systems compliance i.e. Fire Fighting Equipment and Detection Systems
- Fire Risk Assessments
- Asbestos Management
