Job Title: Credit Control Support Assistant - Digital and Strategic

The role:


Working as a transactional support for the Digital and Strategic Credit Control team, to ensure timely collections of monies due to Pentland from our customers, as well as providing excellent customer service to the cross functional teams.


The role you’ll play:


+     To proactively manage cash allocations across the Amazon account in line with Pentlands SLA’s

+     Daily Account reconciliations of the Amazon account matching and clearing Debit notes against internal credit notes or customer payments via a zero-balance remit.

+     To assist with journal postings for items relating to Amazon CoOp agreements, via the General Ledger Spreadsheet uploader (GLSU)

+     To manage the reconciliations of our self-billing accounts

+     To assist with the invoice uploads to Amazons Vendor Central portal should EDI invoicing fail.

+     To help with the management of our Key and Strategic supplier portals, to include - raising cases for rejected disputes, downloading account statements and remittances to reconcile against the customer account.

+     Assist with the daily management of the Insurance portal, to include the ownership of discretionary credit limit maintenance for customers between the value of £75k - £200k,

+     Providing Customer onboarding due diligence support for all new customers on open terms. This will include running Credit agency reports and assessing potential customers liquidity.  

+     Ensuring customer accounts are fully reconciled and good housekeeping is in place.

    Support the wider credit team as required.

The must haves:


+     Credit Control or Sales Ledger experience in a fast-paced industry, managing transactional workloads for Key and Strategic customers

+     Excellent Customer Service and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders

+     Understanding of Accounting platforms such as SAP, Oracle or similar.

+     IT literate, including an intermediate capability with MS Excel
+     Strong process and continuous improvement mindset.

+     Strong attention to detail
+     Ability to work independently, with a confident and resilient attitude.
+     Ability to combine a flexible approach with a desire to “go the extra mile”
+     Be a team player
